This property comprises two Palladian-style buildings: The Villa, sleeping six, and The Garden House, which sleeps four. Together they offer a perfect blend of shared spaces and private corners for families and groups. The Villa welcomes you straight into a spacious, light-filled living area, off which are the three bedrooms and a pretty, fully equipped kitchen, complete with a bottle of home-grown olive oil for your summer salads. To the back of the house is your outdoor lounging and dining area, topped off by a wonderful roof terrace where you can sit with an aperitif and watch saffron sunsets fade into the starry night sky. 

Just across the garden, The Garden House is a little smaller, but fully self-contained with its own living area and kitchen. The accommodation in both houses is tastefully decorated in Italian country house style, timeless and beautifully in keeping with the period features of both buildings. However, we think that the real star of San Vincenzo is the fabulous outdoor space, with a wonderful pool and terrace at its heart. There’s everything you need here to enjoy a fantastic week or two pretty much entirely al fresco, with multiple outdoor seating and dining areas, a pool kitchen, pizza oven, a small honesty bar and a large, poolside cinema screen for movie nights beneath the stars. In the wider grounds you can wander along palm-lined pathways past olive and fruit trees and a kitchen garden stocked with herbs to add the finishing touch if you decide to dine in. 

Villa San Vicenzo is located just five minutes by car from Alezio, a traditional town with an authentic and laid-back atmosphere despite its proximity to the celebrated Gallipoli beaches. Gallipoli itself is a charming seaside town of two halves, with the modern half located on the mainland and an old town on an island connected by a 17th-century bridge. The beaches here are some of the finest in Italy, from Spiaggia della Purità, located right beneath Gallipoli’s old town walls, to the lively beach clubs of Baia Verde or Punta Pizzo for a quieter more natural experience.
